OK OK i’ll tell you who the lbd ladies are as disney princesses to me. (you guys can fix/add your headcanons for this if you like:

• Lizzie: Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Looked past ‘the Beast’ eventually, despite meeting on bad terms. She’s a girl with book smarts and bases her choices on her judgments heavily. (Though at times, she’s clouded by her emotions.) She always has the best intentions at heart. (Though with Lizzie, it comes out wrong most of the time and blows up in her face.) Most of all, family is something she would protect with her life.

• Charlotte: Mulan and Tiana

For Mulan, Putting her family before herself and stuck between being herself/helping her family. Plus, she’s a strong woman who needs no man. For Tiana: Hardworking, dedicated, loyal, practicality over idealism.

• Gigi: Rapunzel

Sheltered, strong, free spirited, bright, fast learner, etc. Plus, someone they loved used them for something that they possessed so there’s that.

• Jane: Giselle from Enchanted and Cinderella

This seems obvious, but it’s not just because of the disposition. I wanted to add more emphasis to this. They all took their chances on love and in they end, they got what they wanted and needed - just not in the way that they expected.

• Lydia: Ariel from Little Mermaid

Finding her place in the world, idealist, adventurous, fun, rebellious… Need I go on?

• Mary: Merida from Brave

This isn’t very obvious, but the reason I chose Merida for her is because Merida is a very stubborn, quick witted, and has quite a sharp tongue about her. Both girls have made some choices that aren’t very admirable, but they did it because they thought it to be right.

• Maria: Vanellope Von Schweetz

SHE’S A DISNEY PRINCESS TO ME. I LOVE HER. SHUSH. Also, I have a headcanon where Maria is judged for who she is - as I imagine her being thought of as ‘odd’ - and so, she’s actuality very awkward at first. But when it comes to what she’s passionate about - for her, it’s Doctor Who and for Vanellope, its racing, she gets animated about it.

• Mrs. Bennet: Lottie from Princess and the Frog

Marriage to the brain, energetic, etc. She ships Tiana and the prince so much more than anyone else (Jane and Bing), though at first they both liked the guy so much, she would’ve married him herself. (Definition of a fangirl tbh.)

• Caroline: Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine from Aladdin

Aurora: Anyway, besides both of them being fabulous, I feel these two have three very distinct traits in common: Grace, sophistication, and intelligence. The first two is obvious, but the last one… Not so much. It seems like Aurora isn’t very smart since ‘SHE TOUCHED THE FRIGGIN NEEDLE.’ However, remember how she hesitated from touching it even when under the spell of supposedly a very, very, very powerful sorceress? Yeah. That and I have a head canon that Caroline does have hopes and dreams, even for love (like Aurora). I feel like she’s just restrained because of her brother and his demeanor. She doesn’t want to disappoint her family.

Jasmine: Stubborn, fast learner, stead fast in what she believes in, snarky, sassy.
